SONAVATION ANNOUNCES FORMATION OF A MEDICAL DIVISION AND NAMES PRESIDENT
– Industry veteran joins Sonavation Executive team as President of newly formed Medical Division
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – November 2, 2009 – – SonavationTM, Inc., the designer of the biometrics industry’s thinnest and most durable fingerprint sensor, today announced it has created a Medical Division to focus and leverage its patented SonicTouchTM technology used in Sonavation’s SonicSlideTM sensors for medical applications. Joining Sonavation to lead this endeavor is industry veteran Reinhard J. Warnking, who has been named as President of the medical division.
Mr. Warnking brings over 25 years of ultrasound experience to the company. Recently he served as President and CEO of ProRhythm Inc., a therapeutic ultrasound company where he developed AF treatments and later initiated and sold a percutaneous mitral valve repair program. From 1993, Mr. Warnking was President and CEO and later Chairman and CEO of EndoSonics, Corp., which was sold to Jomed N.V.in October 2000. Prior to that he was President and CEO of Acoustic Imaging Corp., a manufacturer of ultrasound imaging systems, which was part of Dornier Medizintechnik GmbH. He joined Dornier after he sold Warnking Medizitechnik GmbH to Dornier in 1990
